Beachcombers began life well over 100 years ago as the timbered bathing house for the Big House. Now extended & modernised whilst retaining the original floorboards which have been stripped & painted. This very comfortable single storey cottage is fully equipped with modern appliances to create a carefree, truly relaxing coastal holiday cottage. 1 of only 6 along the beach, Beachcombers nestles behind this unspoilt shoreline.
You really feel secluded here & at one with nature - even the office can't contact you since there is no mobile signal! On Porth Trwyn Beach at Borthwen, to the south of Church Bay. The Lobster Pot, renowned fish restaurant, is just 1 mile away. Parking for 4 cars. Boats can be moored on the beach.
Footpaths criss-cross this area with good swimming beaches, coarse fishing (Llyn Alaw 5 miles), sea fishing trips (Cemaes 6 miles), Cycle Route & working mill (Llandeusant 2 miles), Llanfaethlu village shop 1 mile. Within 8 miles are a choice of restaurants, pubs + bar meals, various takeaways, 3 supermarkets, golf, riding, water sports school & leisure centre + indoor pool. Holyhead for day trips across the Irish Sea to Ireland (9 miles), Menai Bridge (30 mins), Snowdonia (50 mins). Beachcomber's is about 2 hours from the M6/M56 junction, along the A55 Expresway on the North Wales coast & across the Island.
