Loughor Town Trust
Loughor town was established by the Romans as a crossing point on the River Loughor and later with the building of the castle as a defended town by the Normans. Its industry, now defunct, was mainly invloved with coal, steel and glass making. It was also established as a port catering for coastal shipping. It was the birthplace of Evan Roberts the world famous Welsh Evangalist whose memorial in situated outside Moriah Chapel
