Trefloyne Park Golf Club
The new course at Trefloyne Park is separated from Tenby's famous links by one mile and 108 years. Tenby (1888) is the oldest club in Wales while Trefloyne, opened in 1996, is one of the newest.
Their proximity offers visitors the opportunity to play both in one day and thereby experience a journey not only through time but across the spectrum of golf - from the classic seaside links to the most modern parkland course.
Although Trefloyne wasnt opened until 1996, it was constructed in 1992 and had ample time to settle before being played upon. The result is a rapidly maturing medium-to-difficult test of golf amid beautiful mixed woodlands. At over 6,600 yards long, the par 71 course incorporates natural features and hazards and has views of the Pembrokeshire coastline close to Tenbys renowned beaches.
The feature hole is the 13th which is a 420-yards par four requiring an accurate tee-shot to a small plateau green. With out-of-bounds on the right, this is typical of the challenge of Trefloyne which is in remarkable condition for so young a course.
