The canal is situated five miles north of Newport on the A647. Fishing from towpath only. Access to upper sections of canal by car but cars not to be driven along the towpath. Public fishing available. Day and full season permits available from the Pet Shop, Commercial Street, Risca. Please observe that bait restrictions apply, barbless hooks only and keepnet restricitions are in place.
