AFON LLYFNI, The shortest of the three rivers, but without doubt one of the most prolific Seatrout rivers in the Principality. Salmon can also be caught fromlate April onwards, provided there is sufficient water.

As the river is 9 km long, they only pause for short periods before entering Llyn Nantlle at the top of the system. The river enters Caernarfon bay below the village of Pontllyfni. Here, in the pools directly above the tide, the Seatrout fishing can only be described as excellent.
